Next generation financing instruments for early stage biotech ventures in Europe

Friday April 16th, 10:30 – 11:00, live from the studio at the Innovation for Health event, Koen Verhoef, Head of Knowledge Transfer & Contracting at Netherlands Cancer Institute – Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Hospital, and our founder and CEO Bert Arjan Millenaar will talk about:

Next generation financing instruments for early stage biotech ventures in Europe

Europe’s academic scientists provide a huge amount of know-how scattered across different countries and institutions. However, far too often these scientific breakthroughs remain at a fundamental research stage and never reach the patient.

NLC has established a pan-European network of academic institutions and successfully built 50 ventures over the past 5 years. Recently NLC has developed Elithia, a brand new financing instrument to expand its activities into the field of biotech. Koen Verhoef and Bert Arjan Millenaar will discuss what they see happening related to early stage innovations in biotech and how Elithia could be one of the initiatives helping these innovations reach te patients.
