The continued effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on health care workers, has amplified pressure on a workforce that was already strained. People across all professions, carers, and volunteers, have worked tirelessly to help those who needed care. The impact of working under this sustained pressure cannot be underestimated.
A wide range of stakeholders and organizations have highlighted the negative effects on health and social care workers, including anxiety, stress, exhaustion, and burnout, leading to healthcare workers leaving the healthcare sector. To improve the work environment, we want to know what kind of impact our ventures make on the safety, burden, and satisfaction of the care professionals.
Most of our ventures score positive on the impact on the workforce safety and burden. The other part scores neutral: this means the product or technology will probably not affect the environment of the workforce. For some of our ventures, like ARNE and AIDO, their biggest impact is within the ‘happy workforce’ domain.
ARNE‘s augmented reality (AR) application uses tailored data to guide teams of healthcare professionals who work in stressful situations in neonatal care.
