NLC Announces Crowdfunding Campaign as part of a larger €10 Million financing round, of which €6.5 million already raised

Amsterdam, 01/10/2023 — NLC, the World’s largest Venture Builder, is excited to announce the launch of its crowdfunding campaign on WeFunder. This step is part of a larger €10 million round they are raising, to bring healthcare innovations to the patient. A unique opportunity to let their ecosystem share in their success.

Traditionally, NLC has only allowed investors to invest in NLC with tickets exceeding €100K. However, after multiple requests from stakeholders in their network, they decided to also open up the round for smaller amounts. This allows non-professional investors, such as healthcare professionals, inventors, entrepreneurs, angel investors, and other members of their network to join the venture builder, make an impact with their capital, and share in NLCs success.

"Our mission to reshape the healthcare landscape is ambitious, and we believe it is only achievable when we all have ‘skin-in-the-game’. By inviting a larger group of people in the healthcare industry to join our investment round, we believe that we will be even more successful in bringing innovations to the patient at a worldwide scale,” says Bert-Arjan Millenaar, Founder & CEO of NLC.

Bringing Science to Life

Since building its first venture in 2015, NLC has assessed 20,000+ healthtech inventions, transforming more than 100 of them into companies spanning from neonatal care to Alzheimer's treatments. Their diverse portfolio, encompassing medtech, digital health, biotech, and green health solutions, has accumulated €100M+ in funds and is on its way to having a positive impact on 500M patients by 2030.

“This round will solidify our position as the world’s largest healthcare venture builder and will enable us to accelerate the impact we have on patients, healthcare workers and the healthcare system as a whole”, explains Bert-Arjan.

The Crowdfunding journey so far

The crowdfunding campaign has seen remarkable success to date, with NLC raising an impressive €400,000 in a period of 2 weeks, bringing the total amount raised in this round to €6.5M. This achievement is a testament to the confidence of their diverse ecosystem, comprising over 50 investments spanning 3 continents, including healthcare professionals, angel investors, and corporate medtech employees.
